Hello and welcome to my page, thanks for stopping. To tell you a little bit about my self I am currently in the Teacher education program at CCAC South Campus. I graduated with honors from West Mifflin Area High School in 2002. There I met a few very influential people who inspired me to do what I will be doing for my career. I plan to become a history teacher and work for my alma mater if possible. I also played football, basketball, and track. Now I coach the 9th grade football team at West Mifflin. I Would like to continue my education and become a history teacher/ football coach in the future.
Scarface - Scarface is probably the best movie ever. Al Pacino stars as Cuban immigrant Tony Montana. He eventually takes over a drug empire, but it ends up leading to his demise. It's probably my favorite movie. I first saw it in the tenth grade, and have been hooked ever since. I even bought the 20th anniversary DVD when it came out a few months ago. There's just not one thing I hate about this movie.
Evolution - Evolution is a wrestling stable on WWE Monday Night Raw. They are Triple HHH, Randy Orton, Batista, and the Nature Boy Ric Flair. They're my favorite group on the show. They walk around in suits, drive around in limos with plenty of broads, and just beat up pretty much whomever they want. They usually have pretty much all the title belts in WWE, but lately they've been losing. It's alright though, because they'll be back to their former glory some day.
My 10 Educational Web Sites
- HistoryChannel.com - The history channel.com is probably the best educational site available for teachers. It has a feature called this day in history which they remind you of events that have happened in history. They also have a feature called the history quiz in which you can test your knowledge is specific subjects in history. You can also order any segment from their TV programming.
Overall this is a great site for a teacher. You can order any tape that you want and that could assist you in the classroom a lot. This to me is the over all best site for helping a teacher in the classroom as you can purchase any tape.
- CNN.com - This site has all the current news pertaining to everyday news. From the war with Iraq to new types of toilets this site has it all. Great for current event issues in the class room. They news segments are written like how a news paper article would be written with an author. The paragraphs are clear and concise.
What I like about ccn.com is how it is so up to date on current event issues. Back when I was in high school we never spent any time on current event issues and I think that we should have because they become tomorrow’s history. If you are a teacher and want to teach current events this is the best site for it.
- Communist Russia - This is a history of communistic Russia and it tells the story from the beginning. This is an unbiased website as most of the American sites on Russia are. This site just gives the facts and that is what makes this site so strong.
What I like about this site is the links have several different outlets of knowledge on Russian history. I also like how you get real history and not someone’s point of view on how bad they hated the darn commies in the 60’s.
- African American History - This site gives you a top to bottom look at African American history. It starts out with the days of slavery and works it way up through the times of segregation and talks about African American issues of the current day. It also has some big accomplishments by African Americans such as the Tuskegee airmen .
This site is good to me because of one simple reason. In my school we never spent a day on any African American history ever. Teachers should want to try to incorporate every type of history to make well rounded students and this is a perfect site for doing just that. It can be a real tool for teachers to help further the understanding of different cultures.
- Yugoslavia in WWII - This is a very interesting site that talks about the history of Yugoslavia in world war 2. It talks about the Serbian and Croatian people in the war and what side they took during it. It also has a time line which can be helpful in the classroom.
This is another area that I received no education about. I really like this site because it told a story on how the Serbian people helped many Jewish people escape death camps even when it cost them their own lives sometimes. This site is very good to me because it give you a look at someone else’s struggle during world war two and does not just talk about the united states of America.
- WWII: In General - This site is about world war 2. From the top to the bottom and there are many links. From the beginning of the Nazi party to the holocaust and the Normandy invasions, it is all here. It also has everything in between about world war 2. There is plenty of information here which can aid teachers in the classroom.
This is my favorite time is all of history so automatically I am biased. This is a great site with many links. It has enough information to teach a whole course on in a classroom. It is a great tool for any teacher or even if you are just a fan of world war two as I am. The neat thing about this site to me is there are several time lines to look at and I always consider timelines good for the classroom.
- Vietnam - Here is a ton of links about the Vietnam war. They stem from the beginning to the end. Some of the links include weapons of Vietnam and tanks. One of them even talks about John Kerry and Vietnam. All around a lot of information which can be used in the classroom to help students out if you are a history teacher.
This is a subject that I did not cover in high school. It seemed as if we always started with the slave trade and went all the way up through time and never quite got past the 1920s. Well if you are a teacher and you are able to get to the Vietnam war I would suggest this site because of its variety in knowledge.
- Roman History - This is a site about roman history that I actually looked at during our last assignment. This site gives you a look at daily life along with a lot of maps which can be helpful. It also gives you information on historical sources and also about roman leaders.
There are so many links for this site. Once again you could teach a whole course on just this content. One thing that I do not like about this site is that you do not get an overview on your what you are clicking. The links have no description besides the actual words that you are clicking on. I think if there was a Rating system using stars it would be better. What I mean is 5 stars equals good, 1 star equals a poor link.
- Teaching Resource - This is a site for any teacher, not just a history teacher. This site is for teachers and it gives them tips and techniques for teaching. It helps them design web pages and tells about learning and teaching styles. It also can help you incorporate technology into a classroom. There are several links and they all appear to be helpful.
This is a great site for any teacher of any age. This can help a rookie teacher or a teacher of 30 years experience. It covers a lot of information and gives hints and tips on how to do things better in the classroom. I’m sure this site could be very helpful to many teachers out there, especially ones who would like to set up a web page or something like that.
- Cuban Immigrants - This is a site dedicated to the Cuban immigrant problem in the united states of America. It discuses political prisoners and human rights of Cuban people. It also talks about basic needs and immigration laws. It also discuses immigration laws and race.
This site is helpful to teachers who have to teach about immigration. Once again in high school we never learned about the 1980 wave of Cuban immigrants that came to the united states of America. This is a good site but could have been a little better in using some more examples.

Airsoft -
Airsoft is a lot like paintball....except it doesn't suck. Instead of paintballs, the guns shoot plastic pellets. Sometimes people get hit in the eye, when they don't have their safety goggles on. You can be seriously hurt while playing Airsoft, so all of the necessary safety precautions need to be taken. Also, the guns look and feel real. It's more like a real life military simulation. Me and about 10 other people usually go out to the woods on Sunday for Airsoft. Its been rumored that Bill Cosby plays Airsoft in his spare time, but I'm not sure about that one. It's big overseas in China and the UK. Here's a good website to learn about Airsoft.
