Princess Diana's Birthday Renaissance - Jean Paul Avisse

Renaissance

Your birthday is...
The day you are born...
A celebration...
Of your being here…
The beginning
Of who you are…
and a hope...
Of who you might be...
And then..sometimes..
There comes a time in your life...
One of those places...
Between birth and death...
When you are more you...
Than you have ever been before...
You are feel more alive…
Than you thought...
You could ever be...
More beautiful and loved…
Than you ever thought possible...…
You become the essence...
Of who you are...
You reach the heights of now...
You are suddenly standing...
In a field of Gold...
You experience…
Not your birthday…
Which is…
The day you were born…
But your re-birth...
Not as someone’s child...
Someone’s wife or...
Someone’s mother…
But…
As a woman…
You experience…
Your Renaissance…
This is Diana’s

Fields Of Gold

Performed by Eva Cassidy

You'll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You'll forget the sun in his jealous sky
As we walk in fields of gold

So she took her love
For to gaze awhile
Upon the fields of barley
In his arms she fell as her hair came down
Among the fields of gold

Will you stay with me, will you be my love
Among the fields of barley
We'll forget the sun in his jealous sky
As we lie in fields of gold

See the west wind move like a lover so
Upon the fields of barley
Feel her body rise when you kiss her mouth
Among the fields of gold

I never made promises lightly
And there have been some that I've broken
But I swear in the days still left
We'll walk in fields of gold
We'll walk in fields of gold

Many years have passed since those summer days
Among the fields of barley
See the children run as the sun goes down
Among the fields of gold

You'll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You can tell the sun in his jealous sky
When we walked in fields of gold

When we walked in fields of gold
When we walked in fields of gold

Diana would have been 40...
Once she walked
The palaces of royalty..
Never able to walk in freedom...
Always watched... And photographed
Never able to enjoy
A summer's day alone...
The wind in her hair...
The feel of a butterfly
As it lights in her hand...
She was never able to...
Listen to the sweet sound
Of the birds ...
Singing their morning song......
She longed so to be free….

Then..

The flowers of the world
Were laid at her door…
That summers day
We said good-bye….
There was a field of gold
That stretched
As far as the eye could see…
We brought...
The field of flowers to her…
The butteflies ...
Were everywhere that day
The birds...
Had never sang so sweetly...
All were there...
To wish her Godspeed...
Now she walks... Forever...
In God’s
Fields of Gold
At last free... At last alone...
At last at peace...

Happy Birthday
Dear Diana

I think of you
With love today
You will always...
Walk in my heart...
Always....
Maria
