Fire/Paramedic Station No.2
Watt & Nairn

This station was opened in 1990 and is located at 55 Watt Street, in East Kildonan. It gets an average of 3100 calls a year. It consists of Pumper 414, Aerial 312, a MIRV Unit , and Medic 02. It is a-quarter of a block away from the "Nairn Overpass". A MIRV UNIT (Multiple Incident Response Vehicles) is used for large public gathering, and major incidents at the airport. On the fireground, they are used for patients, and fire crews for fire ground rehab. There's another MIRV unit stationed out of #22 Station. There would be a different medic unit that would be send out to #2 or #22 Station, if one MIRV unit would be needed. The Inspector must approve before any MIRV unit is send out. The two MIRV units, are 'old city buses'.
