About Us

I have been in hoof-prints since 2000-2, and a few times circumstances have almost forced me to leave the game, but I’ve 'hung on'. I love playing HP; it's a bright spot in my days. It’s always great meeting new friends and chatting with old ones. In RL I live out in the country, and I'm homeschooled, so I'm not surrounded by tons of horse-crazy friends, though I have a few. Below is a bio on my hoof prints family. I had fun making it up. HMS 90 is a REAL product that is totally great, if you want more info on it, email me… I do have muscle problems in my back… It runs in the family.
Glen and I bought the land that has become Kilmurry McMahon in 2000-2, since then our wildest dreams have come true, but now things are settling down. Glen and I have a daughter, Jade who is three years old. We've also adopted a girl, Amy who is 14, she's a great help around the farm. She's taken a lot of interest in the broodmares and foals and has learned a lot since she first arrived four years ago. Her older sister, Jess (19) is also living with us, though we didn't adopt her. We've been foster parenting her for just over two years, and now that she's an adult she's working for us full time. She has a gift working with young horses, and has done well training almost all our youngsters for the past two years. This year is the first year she'll be showing any horses. Glen and I have been giving her some pointers on her riding and she'll be showing her favorite horse Show Me Destiny in show jumping.
Glen and I met at collage. Glen was taking an Equine Studies course and working at a 'big name' showing barn in Scotland for a year and a half riding and training their horses. The experience was invaluable. I started collage a year before Glen did and was taking Equine Science, after I went on and got my vet certificate. After we finished school Glen and I bought a small string of horses, and trailer and took our experience on the road. We showed extensively over the next two years, slowly made our way to the top. Glen trained and (mostly) rode the two eventing horses we owned at the time, and I worked with the other four horses (three jumpers and a young horse I was training for dressage). Before long we were both showing at the GP level and were being asked to train and show other people's horses. We decided to settle down. and have a "home base" and that's when we decided to buy the land that became Kilmurry McMahon. It didn't take long for our horses numbers to grow, and soon we had to expand our facilities. It was like a dream, and things went along smoothly. Until, I started having some health problems, the muscles in my back started bothering me, and it seemed to matter how much I slept, I was always tired. Soon, the work I had been able to do before was going undone, horses weren’t being trained and we had a few very rough months. Then I slowly got better, my energy increased and I was able to get back to my regular jobs, a year passed and then I was expecting our first child, naturally I had to take some time off, and we decided to sell some of our horses, it was hard for us, but we thought they would be better off at a farm where they would have more attention then what we would be able to give them. After the birth of our daughter I got back to work again, it didn't take long before I started having energy problems again and my back muscles started acting up again.
I started searching for the answer to my problems; I was finally diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue syndrome. My doctor gave me strict instructions; I had to cut down my work load. Glen and I talked it over long and hard, and decided that it would be better to sell off most of our horses, and just keep a small amount. Glen would still train, and show for other people, but I wouldn't be. Things went like that for a few months, and I got use to not having to do everything. I was able to spend more time with our daughter, cooking, and just riding for fun. Around that time a friend recommended a product she had been taking called Immunical (or HMS 90) she said it had been helping her a lot with some health problems she had been having and she thought it would help me as well. I started taking it, and I saw a tremendous increase in energy and a whole bunch of other things as well. Even though I've gotten my energy back, I've decided not to go back to coaching and training full time, I want to spend more time with our daughter. Glen and I have decided to homeschool her and I doubt you can start too early. That kind of brings us to the present...…
WOW will you look at the time, it's past midnight and I need to get up at six tomorrow to make breakfast for Glen and the girls. The only problem with making this webpage is I can never find the time to do it during normal daytime hours... Well hopefully we'll be seeing you around.
