WOOD MEDICAL transports those whose medical concerns do not require emergency transport; specifically, those physically challenged who need transport by wheelchair capable van. Typically, these transports are to physician appointments, clinic visits or dialysis.
Oftentimes, those who had urgent need of emergency room services do not require expensive transport by stretcher upon discharge, but can return to their home or nursing facility by wheelchair.
Unfortunately many find out too late that Medicare does not pay for the very costly ambulance transport back to their place of residence from the hospital.
We insure the patient is monitored by our EMS experienced staff and escorted safely and comfortably back into their residence.
WOOD MEDICAL staff all hold certifications above those required for services we provide.
WOOD MEDICAL vehicles all are air-conditioned, comfortable and suitable for in-town and long-distance transport.
