Wheelchair van service/patient escort is based on (Charlottesville) in-town flat rate. Out-of-town or long distance transports are based on fixed rate(s) for the respective destination.

We also charge for wait time(s) greater than 15 minutes from the time of scheduled pick-up.

WOOD MEDICAL reminds you that Medicare does not pay for wheelchair transport under any circumstances. It is considered fraud to seek Medicare coverage if you or your loved one is transported by stretcher when other means of transport were appropriate (e.g. wheelchair).

WOOD MEDICAL no longer accepts Medicaid, nor do we participate in any of the Medicaid HMO programs.

WOOD MEDICAL accepts cash, check and money-order payments. We also now accept credit card payments.
