HONORING MIKE LITTLEJOHN

MIKE LITTLEJOHN

My ordinary hero Traveling down the road from gig to gig/ Hoping to keep running our only rig/ Singing songs of old and new/ From town to town our rig really flew/ Enjoying the scenery of the country side/ A brother and a guitar for sidekicks as I ride/ Four wheels on the road/ With an ac about to lose it’s load/ Stranded in Brenham, luckily at a gig/ Finally stopped was that four wheeled rig/ With the sun setting on this texas city/ Mike hollered he could fix that mechanical ditty/ With worries of his own, he still worked on for me/ Struggling on his back, searching all around to see/ What could the problem be with this rig/ Now on Sunday morning, still at the gig/ While I still slumbered away in the cool/ Mike worked on solving the problem like no fool/ With my blood brother by his side/ They cut, wired, and taped together my ride/ Stranded in Brenham, luckily at a gig/ Finally stopped was that four wheeled rig/ With our hero working hard to resolve/ The problem was over, the rig began to revolve/ When least expected, when needed most/ No longer did I worry, but always will I boast/ About an ordinary hero who stepped up one day/ A BIG HEARTED MAN, MIKE LITTLEJOHN
