I am sixteen

This past May, 4th a grand thing happened, I turned 16!!! *slight applause*. An so, in ode of my birth, sixteen springs ago I made a list, of the things I can do because of my past birthday.

Because I'm 16 I can...

· Get my driver's licence..but still have to wait a year and a half before I get a chance and drive on my own.
· Scream to my mother "You can't keep treating me like a child anymore, I'M SIXTEEN!!!!". Whereas last year I had to settle for the unassuming : "You can't keep treating me like a child anymore, I'M FIFT-okay I'm sorry Mom, don't punish me..."
· I can stay out till late...Well not really.
· Apply for a part-time job...even though I really don't want to do anything in the summers but relax.
· Feel a bit more normal with my boyfriend, because he's 18 and the age thing is more even. But he turns 19 in like a week, so...scratch that.
· Now that I'm 16 I get my magical powers!..Wait that's only on TV...OR IS IT!
· I can drink freely...nope, two more years for that one...dammit.

In conclusion I can do the same thing as last year...Well doesn't that suck! Guess I'll see you 'round. Later.
