1985 Toyota Tercel SR-5

Here is my baby, hehe, my 1985 Toyota Tercel SR-5 station wagon.

Stickers

My extravagant collection of bumber stickers and refrigerator magnets...

battery/charging system

My battery (dunno what it is, it's one my dad got, does a great job, hehe), my tiny stock 50 amp alternator (dammit), and my fuses on my 2 4 AWG power wires (one dedicated for my sub amp, one for everything else). Don't worry, I'm going to upgrade the ground wires and other wires under the hood to 4 AWG when I get the time.

Clarion DRB4475 cd player

Here is my trusty Clarion DRB4475 cd player. This was my first piece of equipment, a Christmas present (that I asked for). I'm still using it, it does the job until I find a nice one I can't live without. Also visible is the remote bass control of my Cadence Ultra Shock A7HC.

ESX Q1202 amplifier

This is my ESX Q1202 amplifier which powers my front stage, DEI Studio 3065 components. It puts out 120x2 or slightly more at 4 ohm stereo.

custom door panels

Here is the custom door panel that built (well, half of the panel I built, the other half is obviously stock) to hold my DEI Studio 3065 components (no, the stock 4" isn't good enough for me ;-) The panel is built out of 3/4" MDF and coverd in vinyl, the match didn't come out quite like I wanted but oh well.

DEI Studio 3065 components in custom door pods

Here is the custom door pod that built to hold my DEI Studio 3065 6.5" components. The pod is built out of 1/2" MDF and put together with wooden pegs instead of screws, this allowed me to sand it easier and it works great. Then the pod is covered in vinyl. The internal volume is about .12 cubic feet sealed, the midbass is great, if the pod were about 0.2 the midbass would go a little lower but that's ok. The DEIs are great speakers and sound incredible for the price but I strongly suggest some kind of an enclosure to see the midbass potential of these speakers. They are rated at 100 watts RMS, I'm feeding them about 120-130 watts RMS and they do great.

Cadence Ultra Shock A7HC

This amp is the beast. The Cadence Ultra Shock A7HC high current, mono block, class D, 1200 watt RMS subwoofer amp. Rated at 500x1 at 4 ohms, 800x1 at 2 ohms, or 1200x1 at 1 ohm, this is a powerful amp, and is slightly underrated, which means it probably puts out close to 1400 watts RMS. I love this thing, it's powering my 4 Image Dynamics IDQ10 subwoofers with ease. I have a 1F cap hooked up for it also.

four Image Dynamics IDQ 10 subwoofers in the box I built

Here they are, my 4 Image Dynamics IDQ 10 subs. They sound incredible, exceptional low bass extension, great upper bass response, very tight, and with 4 of them they get plenty loud...LOL... They are installed in a 3 cubic foot box, 4 separate sealed chambers, .75 cubes per sub (minus the .05 for displacement gives them the optimum .7 cubes each). The box is constructed of 3/4" MDF, screwed and wood glued together and sealed with silicone sealant. I built it myself. It's 42.5" wide, 12" tall, 13" deep on top and 15" deep on bottom. Great box I must say *boast boast*

sub box

sub box

Just more pics of the sub box.

repaired surround

Being the retard that I am, I accidentally poked a hole in one of the IDQ 10 surrounds with my drill *wipes away a tear* I contacted Image Dynamics and asked them how to fix it, they said super glue and the repair will outlast the sub, the rubber will rip again before the repair fails. So I tried it with a bunch of rubber stripping stuff to get the hang of it, then took my crazy glue and glued the surround, worked great, very strong repair, hardly noticable. Thanks ID.

amps, cap, crossovers, fuse blocks, relay, etc.

Here's a pic of my stuff, the Power Amper 1F cap, fuse blocks, 30 amp Bosch relay to turn on my amps (possibly fans and EQ in the future), my amps, and my DEI crossovers. Also notice the wiring and Stinger Hyper Series RCAs and the sub box.
