Princess Diana Island Seasons

Island Seasons..

The leaves of red and gold
Drift silently downward...
A beautiful quilt in vibrant colors
In autumn’s finest splendor...
Blanket our dear Princess...
It is a time of rest and reflection..
For the island...
And for those dear hearts..
Who wait for the summer..
And the song it sings to their souls..
It is time for the island to sleep...

And then...
The snow falls gently down..
Covering the bride with white lace...
It is a time of winter dreaming...
And memories of once upon a time...

She yawns and stretches...
As spring draws near...
The time of beauty and rebirth...
And the song of springtime...
Begins to awaken her..
To call her beauty forth...
She feels the warmth of the sun...
And hears birdsong...
Trill sweet and low..
Heralding the time of rebirth...

And she is awake now..
The dreaming time past..
And soft summer skies..
Drape her in sky blue...
She wears her finest gown...
Of forest green...
A crown of white lilies...
Adorns her hair...
In summer finest splendor..
The flowers blanket her..
And a quilt of summer’s passion....
Covers our Lady of the Lake..

It is the beginning...
And yet the ending...
Each day a treasure...
Only to come again...
When Autumn blankets her once more...
With leaves of red and gold...
