Wilmington High School Devils
The 1997 Wilmington High School Indoor Guard performed to the music of "Mission Impossible." Their show entitled "The Impossible Mission" was written and instructed by Mary Pierce and Christy Dilts. The guard of six members spun two sets of flags and featured stictly pole work during the beginning of the show. Guard Captains included Jennifer Moore and Gina Costa. Jenine Mullin was being taught the responsibilities of captains for the following outdoor guard season.
Members include:
Seniors: Melissa Astifan, Gina Costa, Jennifer Moore
Junior: Jenine Mullin
Sophomores: Jaime Perkins, LaTisha Saunders
The guard's greatest honor was bestowed upon them on their band trip to Atlanta, GA where they received a Superior Rating and a score of 92.2. The season was extremely successful. The main goal of the season was to get into the competitive circuit and get their name out. In the process, they finished the season with a number of trophies and a plethora of memories that each girl would cherrish for years to come.
