My family is really important to me. Sometimes I don't always let them know that, but I really don't know what I would do without all their support. My parents and Robby support me in everything I do. They, by far, are my number one fans!
Some more information about my family:
1) Dad
My dad works at Atlantic Aviation, which is located next to the Greater Wilmington Airport. He's been there for over thirty years and is extremely good at his job. He works with computers all day long just so my brother and I can do everything we want to do. This includes me going to college.
Dad is a big soccer and baseball fanatic. I guess that's because my brother and I both played them at some point in our lives. He also likes to watch a ton of football. He never misses a University of Delaware home game...although, I think the fact that I'm in the marching band there may have something to do with his perfect attendance.
2) Mom
My mom works at McNelis Hallmark and has been there for ten years. I used to work with her, but that was before college became my life and I was forced to work on campus in between classes. She really likes it there because it's close to home. Her boss is also really good about letting her get off work to support my brother and me in our numerous activities.
Mom is one of my best friends. Not too many girls can tell their mother everything, but I look at my mom as one of the gang before I see her as my mom. I'm glad I have her around to worry about me. Not to mention that I'm thrilled to have her around to help entertain my friends when they come over to hang out. She's truely a card.
Elvis Presley is a huge part of my mom's life. The woman owns every piece of Elvis memorabelia ever sold. We won't talk about the suitcase she has under her bed full of articles, pictures, and programs from concerts. What a fan.
Oh, and we can't forget Chipper Jones. My mom loves the Braves, but she's unbelieveable when it comes to Chipper Jones. She has over 150 baseball cards of just him. Everytime she goes to the baseball collector shop she comes home with something either signed by Chipper or a picture of him. I wish I could arrange a meeting time for her. That would probably be the greatest gift she ever received.
3) Robby
Definately a huge part of my life (especially my social life). I love to go to baseball games and watch my brother play whatever position the coach decided to play him in at that given game. He's a terrific ball player and participates in baseball at Glasgow High School (JV) and Newark American Senior League. I think the most memorable thing about my brother playing baseball is his nickname (assigned by me of course). I sit in the stands and cheer for SB every time he's up to bat. Stick-Boy is extremely fitting since he's like a twig. SB sounds cooler so I try really hard not to embarass him as much as I can.
Baseball is only one sport my brother plays well. He's also a member of the Glasgow High School JV soccer team which went undefeated in 1997 and did extremely well in 1998 as well. Rob also participated in Rep soccer. He was a charter member of the CAA Crunch and played with them until their last season. He is currently planning on trying out for the Varsity team at GHS next fall.
