Mark Veno's Vespa Chopper
Ill let him tell ya about it in his own words.... . . . "The fork is extended 5"and the engine has been fucked with as
follows:Reed block from RD400 welded on cases,dellorto 30mm
carb,aftermarket expansion chamber exhaust,and Polini 210cc cylinder
kit.The tranny has a higher ratio primary drive so the scooter now tops
out around 90 mph and cruises at 75 all day.I've also lightened the
flywheel by removing the fan.I don't need it with the motor hanging out
like that."
"ALL the work was done by me except for the
welding.Paint,fabrication,machining,porting,all me.You might think "oh
it's just a scooter" but keep in mind that I can't just look in a book
to learn how to modify or customize it , nor can I run to the corner
shop to get parts.I'm not saying I'm the first to do this,I'm just
saying that it takes just as much thought and skill to build a scooter
chopper as it does a motorcycle chopper.Actually, building my Triumph has
been a cakewalk in comparison."
