The Wild Bikes of Ron Finch

Ron Finch, owner of Finch's Custom Styled Cycles in Pontiac,Michigan is a Renaissance man among motorcycle customizer's.Plying his craft since the beginnings of the chopper era,He is one of the most radical and artistic bike builder's ever.He is an ingenius designer and painter and his metal work is flawless. The first bike I've uncovered is "Odin's Axle" pictured below.

ODIN"S AXLE

Pay particular attention to the asymetrical girder which started life as an old BSA girder unit. The paint scheme uses every color imaginable and the geometric shapes scattered across the bike isnt paint but actual bent rod welded to the bike.I wish I had better pics of this particular ride.As with any Artists work you either love it or hate it,but you still have to appreciate the craftsmanship.

LOOPHOLE

This bike was built by Ron around 1985/86 and was dubbed "Loophole".I,ve also heard it was called "Aorta",and was meant to replicate the human circulatory system.Where's the gastank you ask? Look closely at the back fender and you'll spot a filler cap.

Heres a new one called Dreamsicle
