  • Dec. 3: Got most of the Diablo section up.

This week has been pretty uneventful, which is not a bad thing. Shovelling the driveway after the snowstorm was harder than I thought. Christy's Mom drove us downtown to visit a couple of Aboriginal places to see if I could get assistance for finding a job or going back to school... didn't really get anywhere though. At least I got to see more of Winnipeg.
We rented Pearl Harbour the other night and it was kindof disappointing. Too much romance. :P
Met Christy's "second" family across the street, and Monday we're supposed to visit her highschool. More and more people to meet...
I want to be home for Christmas, but who knows what's going to happen. No leads on a job here yet.
Haven't seen one single Canucks game since being here. :P

We've been here for a few days now and I believe I've met most of Christy's friends... it was a little intimidating meeting everyone at once, but it was all good. John Sutton plays Diablo! Someone I can relate to... Went and watched Ty and Mike's teams curl... curling is better with commentary. On Sunday we saw Behind Enemy Lines with Johnny, it was an entertaining show. Also froze my butt off after the movie, cause we walked to Perkins to wait for our ride. Today we actually got to sleep in, and the afternoon has been spent playing Diablo.

Well, being back in the 'Peg is alright so far. Haven't done much, but then again we did just get here. We need to find work, but I think first we need to find the motivation to want to work (as if anybody wants to work). At least we're getting in some long over due Diablo time, and Candice is happy doing her web design. I think I've spent more time _in this house_ since we got here, than I did when I was living here, how weird is that? Anyway, I guess the more time I spend here, the easier it'll be to decide if this is where we're going to stay.

Well we arrived in Winnipeg around 5pm CST and are adjusting to our new surroundings. It's not much colder than Kelowna, which is nice.
Christy has been having fun going through all of her old belongings and I have been having fun trying to fine tune the computer to the settings I like. It's hard adjusting from a 24/7 cable modem to a non-dedicated phone modem. Diablo just isn't the same (although it looks better on this monitor).

Well we're here, in Winnipeg, where I suppose is still home. Everything seems a little strange and just slightly off from the way I left it, but I guess that's expected. It's good to be back, and I am greatly looking forward to seeing all my old friends again, not to mention showing my girl around town. I hope things work out with my parents and that we stay for a long time.
