Pacific White-Sided Dolphin

Location:

Temperate North Pacific Ocean. East Pacific from Aleutian Islands through Gulf of Alaska to Baja, California. West Pacific from Japan to Kuril Island.

In case you didn't know:

The Pacifid White-Sided Dolphin will frequently swim along with the Atlantic White-Sided Dolphins.

They also will swim among Risso’s Dolphins, Grey Whales and Humpback Whales as well.

These dolphins swim with their own kind, from as many as one to two thousand.

They eat squid, hake, and anchovies.

Surprisingly they are nocturnal feeders.

They have 21-28 small, pointed, slightly curved teeth.

These dolphins are commonly found swimming with the Northern Right-Whale Dolphin.

They are very energetic and acrobatic animals.
