Last summer (summer '97) was when I first discovered Zuckerbaby. I saw their first video for Andromeda. Me and some friends heard that they were coming to a local cabaret, The Pyramid, and decided to go down and check them out for soundcheck since we weren't legal.
At this point in time, we didn't even know their names and were scrambling to remember what the names under them on the EDGEfest special we saw earlier that week were. All we could remember was Brian the bassist.
We brought them lollipops (since the name is from sugarbaby) and they, not to be concieted here, seemed to really like us girls. We hung out for quite a bit then most of us under-agers had to leave.
In September, Zuckerbaby came back with The Age of Electric. It was a great show and they remembered us all.
They came back two months later in November with an awesome band called Clay and Highstreet. It, again, was all good.
The boys came back again in February and played at the Red River Collegiate and played with an awesome band called The Harlots. It wasn't all-ages, but we sold merch and got in. Afterwards, we partied.
The last time they came back was March. We made lasagna for them and they really enjoyed it. Especially Andy. Since then, they have yet to come back.
Zuckerbaby are great guys, rawk on.
