This page of my many pages will tell you all how the Gandharvas relate to me! So here ya go...
I first met Paul, Jud, Brian, Beau and Tim during their soundcheck last year in September. I had just seen the new video for Downtime on MuchMusic and thought they were really good, so me and my friends did our usual cleaning duties for the Pyramid so we could see them play.
It turned out that everyone was really nice and me and my friend Jenn gave Paul and Brian ShaNnoN DoLL (our band) stickers and our home-made business cards cos we're geeks.
After seeing the incredible soundcheck, I decided "I need this CD" so I got it for my birthday, loved it, and I bought their first one A Soap Bubble and Inertia in December and Kicking in the Water after that.
I went 2 more months after having 2 great CDs and finally I heard that they were coming back here to do a show in February. It was with Holly McNarland and I got my dad to get me in since I'm not legal yet, and it was such a good show! Paul even played the cans! (That's when I took the picture.) I waited by the very front of the stage for 2 hours since the band was late getting there and then I got a good spot right in front of Jud.
I was talking to Paul afterwards and got a picture with him (that's really bad cos I look all tired and dead and that's why it's not up on the page!) and he said he remembered me from September. That night I also got my "Sold for a Smile" CD by everyone.
They came back about 3 weeks later on the way back from their tour, but I couldn't go that time because it was my dad's birthday. But I still went for soundcheck and saw the new USA release of their CD and Brian showed me that he still had the sticker I gave him 5 months before!
Right now I'm waiting for them to come back and make my whole month, but even if they do, I can't go to the show if it's at the Pyramid, cos it's a stupid bar now.... but maybe one day... they'll get really big & famous... and play at the stadium.... and they'll give me backstage passes.... hehe just kidding...
