ALUMNI
ASSOCIATION HK
Welcome to the official BUAAHK homepage
INTRODUCTION
Birmingham University Alumni Association (HK) was founded in 1978. It is a registered legal entity in Hong Kong. At present, we have over 1,600 members and the number has been growing steadily.
BUAA (HK) has been recognised by the University of Birmingham as an official overseas alumni association since late 1980s.
As the oldest and largest alumni association outside UK, BUAA (HK) plays a very important role in liaising the University for educational fairs. It also collaborates with the other BUAAs in Singapore and Taiwan, and the alumni associations of other UK universities in Hong Kong for social functions.
The BUAA (HK) Home
Page is the newly developed E-service to update its members of the Association.
Please browse through each section and you will find something for yourself.

Who make up the Working Committee?
The Working Committee is elected during Annual General Meeting. The tenure is usually 2-3 years. The present committee was elected at AGM 1998 on 18 Nov 1999 at Shatin Race Course Function Room at the presence of the Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Roger Burman and Mr. Frank Albrighton, Director of External Relations and Development, from the University. In the past 20 years, nine distinguished chairpersons have led the Committee to run the Association. A great number of graduates and their families have got together in various activities: Horse Racing Day, Dragon Boat Race, Sea Cruise, Football Match, Annual Dinner, ... just a few to name.
Why is BUAA (HK) important to you?
As a graduate of BU, you are entitled to free membership. Why not spare a few minutes to update yourself of the Association? And through participating in different activities, you can meet long lost friends, you can also make new friends who share your Birmingham experiences. You never know what you will get until you actively involved yourself in it.
Besides, we do not
only come together for fun, but also for good. We have participated
in fund-raising activities such as Dragon Boat Race for the Childrens'
Cancer Foundation?
