*** Matchbox 20 joins elite company with milestone
(MusicNewsWire.com) - Matchbox 20 has reached a rare
milestone for recording artists. The Recording
Industry Association of America's recently created
"Diamond Award" honors albums that have sold in
excess of 10 million copies and Matchbox 20's
"Yourself or Someone Like You" has reached that
plateau. The hit-filled collection was released in
1996 and has not disappeared from the airwaves since.
The band joins such classic artists as Led Zeppelin,
Pink Floyd, The Eagles and Michael Jackson, whose
albums have also been certified with the prestigious
award. Matchbox 20's follow-up to "Yourself or
Someone Like You" is scheduled for release early next
