John Sciortino

John H. Sciortino, 90, passed away on December 28, 2012 at Bon Secours Hospital, Port Jervis, NY.

He was a carpenter for the N.Y.C. District Carpenters Union, a member of St. Ann's Church, Shohola, PA, Matamoras Rod & Gun Club, Matamoras, PA, Mt. Laurel VFW Post #8612 Milford, PA, Marsh Kellogg American Legion Post #139 Milford, PA and also a World War II U.S. Army Veteran.

The son of John and Frances (Siragusa) Sciortino he was born on July 13, 1922 in Manhattan, NY. He was married to Sharon (Kieferle) Ingrassia-Sciortino.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Joan Shaw and Anna Marie Reale, both of Staten Island, NY; son, John F. Sciortino of Staten Island, NY; stepson, Ralph J. Ingrassia of Morristown, NJ; sister, Marie Collins of Morganville, NJ; two brothers, Philip Sciortino of Rochester, NY, Jerome Sciortino of Seaford, DE and four grandchildren.

Friends may call at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W. Harford St., Milford, PA on January 1, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann's Church, 121 Richardson Ave., Shohola, PA on January 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas Major officiating.

Burial will take place at Moravian Cemetery, Newfoundland, PA and will be private and at convenience of the family.
