Conrad R. Shock Jr.

Conrad R. Schock, Jr. "The Engineer", age 83, of Matamoras, PA., passed into the arms of his savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at his home.

He was born on March 27, 1929 in Port Jervis, NY. He is the son of the late Conrad R. Schock, Sr. and Clara Fick Schock.

He was a lifetime member of the Port Jervis Lodge of Elks, #645 B.P.O.E. Matamoras Rod & Gun Club, NRA, and the Port Jervis Lodge of Masons #328 F & AM. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors and the D & H Square Dancing.

Conrad was a self-employed excavator for Ellie's Transit out of Matamoras, PA. He was a lover of life and the Lord who created it. He was a great teacher with the patience of a saint. He had a passion for "How things worked" and a great trouble shooter, an unbelievable high-tech excavator, who could fix anything but only, "perfectly". He loved to have fun, to dance, to sing and laugh with those who would share his laughter. He was God loving and would do or give to those in need before he would take anything for himself. He loved and provided for his family and in the tough times he would never give up, always with God on his shoulder he prevailed. His love and care for his wife was a great example for his children. He was such an inspiration and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. God Bless you Conrad "Ronnie" Schock, Jr. until we meet again.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Eleanor H. Clark Schock of 59 years, who resides at home; his son, Conrad R. Schock, III and wife, Tina of Matamoras, PA; four daughters: Nancy Theodore and husband, Frank of Matamoras, PA, Laurie Sanz and fiance, Robert Perras of Massachusetts, Cindy Schoch and husband, Chuck of Rio, NY, and Diane Ardler of Matamoras, PA; 17 grandchildren: Zachary, Lexy, Stefani, and Jessica Schock, Frankie, Shawn, and Eddie, Theodore, Amy, Ashley, and Brian Sanz, Danielle, Joshua, Amanda, and Heather Schoch, Eric and Austin Ardler; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Arlene Malone and husband, Richard, and Clara Tripodo; his brother, Larry Schock and wife, Terry; sister-in-law, Barbara Schock and a brother-in-law, Russell Schumacher and several nieces and nephews. Conrad was predeceased by his brother, Alden "Bub" Schock; his sister, Dorothea Schumacher; his grandson, Conrad R. Schock, IV, and his brother-in-law, Joseph Tripodo.
