1920: In early June of 190, Ed Young, a half-Indian hunter and lumberjack blazed a trail to Lost Pond on the the mountain, becoming the first known person to climb the mountain at all. He is possibly the first known person to have visited the summit of Lost Pond Peak and is certainly one of the first to have visited Lost Pond itself.

1920: On June 20th, 1920 Bob Marshall, George Marshall, and Herbert Clark, the first three men to climb all of the 46 High Peaks, climb Lost Pond Peak by way of Roaring Brook. They visit Lond Pond and possibly the summit as well.
