Sue and Chris stepped down as co-chairs of the committee. Tom and Sandy will be co-chairing for the next church year, with Sandy more of a back-up. The Chalice Communities did the adopt-a-road clean-up on June 11th, our second clean-up of the year. They were able to do both sides of the road. Compliments were received from our neighbors!! Closing loop on recycled products continuing as the July table display. We discussed the greening workshop items, trying to decide which items will need to be done, along with things we have already done, in order to achieve certification. Sandy is organizing our thoughts on this. Tidy trooping on July 9th - also love-your-church work day. Marney continuing to remove invasive plants from the drainage pond. Marney discussed the wildflower meadow. The area outlined is quite large. We agreed that a small section should be done first as a testbed. It may be next year before this will happen. Dave talked about the need for surge protectors. He is looking into what we need. Budget submitted for the $1000 collected from the native plant sale: Exterminators - $150 (already spent) Erosion Control Landscaping Speaker fees We discussed the erosion problem. Jessica may be able to get some rocks for free.
