Dance dance dance... I have been dancing since I was in first grade. Which makes eleven years of Just For Kix. I still enjoy it lots. We used to just have little shows at the High School for family and friends to come to watch us. As the program has grown in Blooming Prairie, we have been involved in competitions around the state. Our first competition was when I was in sixth grade and we won third place. It was super exciting. We haven’t always won, but we still enjoy the opportunity to see how others dance.

In ninth grade I got the chance to go to Florida and dance at the half time of the Outback Bowl, a college pro-bowl game. There were seven of us girls that raised the money to go and had a wonderful time. The weather wasn’t the greatest, but we still had fun. I recently just returned from another bowl game. This year they held a first annual national competition. Our team didn’t compete, but we danced at the half time show and enjoyed the Florida sun.

I am involved in golf and have been since seventh grade. Golf season is always one that has delays, mainly because of the weather. There have been times when we have practiced with snow on the ground. In golf, you need not be afraid of mud, because everything always seems to be wet and dirty. I have received an athletic letter in golf since 9th grade. Just this past season, our girls golf team did very well. I played the second spot on Girls Varsity and we didn’t win the conference, but I did get an honorable mention award there. The team then went on and won sub-sections, which was an exciting time.

This golf season started out pretty well. We didn't win all of our meets, but we didn't lose by a lot either. At the Gopher Conference, the weather was not nice, it was cold and rainy. We ended up with 2nd place, I won honorable mention again this year.
