Petitioners for York Rite degrees may take the steps, one body at a time if desired. TOTAL COSTS: $180. There are approximately 44 York Rite CHAPTERS in the State of Florida.
If any Blue Lodge Brother is interested, Blank petitions for the York Rite Degrees/Orders may be received by calling Orlando York Rite Recorder, Right Eminent Grand Commander John Fletcher, at 407/851-8456. Alternate sources for petitions: 407-620-2281 (Charlie Warren) and 407-366-4591 (Dana Fredey, Sanford YR Secretary).
The York Rite of Freemasonry consists of three bodies (following Blue Lodge): a. CHAPTER -- Capitular Chptr Royal Arch Masons--4 degrees (4-7 )-- COST: $55 b. COUNCIL -- Cryptic Council Royal & Select Master--3 degrees (8 - 10)-- COST: $40 c. COMMANDERY -- Chivalric Commandery Knights Templar--3 Orders COST: $85 Master Masons who have been INITIATED, PASSED, and RAISED in the Blue Lodge--and received the "substitute" word for the Master's long lost word--are eligible to petition. When you receive the 4 Capitular degrees of the CHAPTER, you will learn the long, lost Master's WORD in the ROYAL ARCH MASON degree. [Master Masons are eligible to petition York Rite after giving their proficiency in the Master Mason's degree--OR 6 months after being raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason].
Dues for the year 2007 are now due. Please send them in today if you have not done so.

I would appreciate it if you would sent the

St Lucie Commandery No. 17 Sir Knights will
be supporting the Laying of two Cornerstones
on Thursday May 17, 2007.
The first will be for "Treasure Coast Hospics"
at their site on Midway/Dunn Road in Fort Pierce at High Noon.
Templars in full dress will meet with other Masons at Fort Pierce Lodge on Oleander Road by
11:30 a.m. and travel to Dunn Road (3 miles). A luncheon will be served at Fort Pierce Lodge after the ceremony at 1:00 p.m.
The second will be for the Sheriff's new Facility in Stuart Florida.
The Templars will meet with other Masons at 3:00 p.m. at the Acacia Masonic Lodge. The public ceremony
will be at 4:00 p.m. A rib dinner will be served at Acacia Lodge following the dedication.
We strongly urge all Masons to attend these
ceremonies as these are one of the most visable occasions at which can be assure of public recognition.

The Grand York Rite Convention is looking to be exciting this year and I am glad it is a lot closer(Lake Mary)this year. As you will remember last year a lot of us had to pass thru all the fires to get there and some had a very hard time breathing.
I will stay in touch and be around for anyone who might need me for something. I want to thank all of you for making this year so special to me and helped me through all the mistakes I was able to come up with(and some were Doozies- "Could he really do it that way ?").
