 Research showed that in the early 1990’s the insurance industry was experiencing grave financial difficulties due to catastrophic losses and adverse underwriting selection. (Fire, earthquakes and floods, etc)

They had to seek employment elsewhere. Then 9/11/01 happened which drove the industry further into dept, causing many reputable companies to die-off and the industry is leaning heavily on other innovative ways of doing than the traditional format. Such as outsourcing, internet marketing and even diverting more responsibility to insurance agents, in order to cut overhead and operating cost to maintain profitability and sustainability.
