ADOPTION INFO

Here at Twitchy Whiskers we love every single one of our rats and that's why we will go to any lengths to make sure they go to good homes.

You can always be added to a waiting list for a rat. People on the waiting list get first priority to litters. Just e-mail me with your name, type of rat you would like and from which litter(look under planned litter page). I will then send you back a simple questioniare before your name is permentaly added.

If you find a rat you are intersted in you can reserve them to insure you will get the rat when it's ready to go home. I requier a $5 deposit per rat that you reserve. This deposit is non refundable but will go towards teh final cost of your rat(s). I need the deposit within one week of you reserving it or it will become available again.

I have a 21 day trial period with all of my rats. During this time the rat is required to be quarantined for 2 weeks. During the trial period if a rat becomes ill or dies I will give a refund, excluding the reservation fee. I will not however give a refund if the rat dies or beomces ill due to not being quarantined or in the event the rat is injured or dies due to an accident after you take it home.

Every rat breed here must go home with a signed adoption contract. This ensures that you will give the rat the best possible care.

Our rats are very important to us. They will only go to approved homes. We have the right to refuse a rat to anyone. Our rats are always adopted out in same sex pairs unless you can provide proof you have rats of hte same sex or neutered/spayed rats. If for any reason you are no long able or willing to care for the rat(s), they are to be returned to TWR where we will keep thme or find them new homes. If you feel you have a good home for them you need to contact us for approval before placing the rat.

I do not believe in chargin differnt prices based on the look of a rat so I have one set fee for all rats. Prices include the deposit, rat(s), pedigree and adoption/breeding contract.
Pet only: $15 for one, $10 for each additional
Pet/Breeder: $25 for one, $15 for each additional.

I do not ship my rats. The easiest way to get your rat(s) is to come to my home to get them. I am wiling to deliver or meet halfway under special circumstances. If I need to travel an 30mins. or more I might charge an additional fee.
