Cats been around since the age of Dinosours. However in Egypt time about 4,000 years ago, Cats were worshipped by Egypt, worshipped as like one of Gods. They, the Egyptions think Cats are unusual animal and is the most speical of all the animals so they treat cats with most utter respect and treat them cats as one of them. "Whoever kills a cat in Egypt is condemmed to death, whether he committed this crime deliberately or not. The people gather and kill him. An unfortunate Roman, who had accidentally killed a cat, could not be saved, either by King Ptolemy of Egypt or by the fear which Rome inspired." a quote from some Romanian person who witness the whole thing. In 18th century to late 19th century, most people only used cats for catching mices on the farming land or in the house. However it wasn't until late 19th century and beyond that they started using Cats as a good friendly pet that they came to love and charish. |
