Match Report
After a heat wave of 90s and 100s it seemed like a pleasant day for a pre quarterfinal between ANZACS and PACC. ANZACS a team poised to win and a lot of passion to support its players on every ball and any kind of situation. PACC much improved a matured team decided not to take it for granted but to earn it.

Anzacs won the toss and elected to bat immediately.

It was test of character for PACC to hold its nerves and go about its business with another day in the office.

Mushtaq and Haroon put an early dent while removing the openers. Anzacs were determined to counter attack with Deepesh and Vishwanath in attacking mode. They played some good shots for a brief but valuable partnership. Deepesh popped one up for Murtaza while Vishwanath was sent back by Shami. Anzacs were 5 down for 66 runs but Captain took the charge along with Shaluka to start the repair work. It worked and Anzacs slowly built strong walls over weak foundation. They were able to bring the score to a healthy total of 186 runs. Highlight of the inning was two superb catches by Murtaza and team work ability by PACC.

PACC fresh off 322 runs posting against TGCC started in the same fashion with Mansoor and Waseem. Both played tremendous shots including shot of the day by Mansoor a six over the extra cover boundary. Waseem was out caught at 45 runs while Mansoor could not get his fifty after getting so close about 4th time this season. Seems like he is victim of “nervous forties”. He better turn it around and go for his century he hasn’t gotten this year. It was smooth transition as Haroon carried on the torch until the end along with Murtaza he sealed the deal for PACC to advance in to Elite 8.

Man of the match was Haroon Warriach for his 57 runs not out and 1 wicket. Although Waseem and Mansoor came close but its theirs to claim in the next game.

Next stop Quarterfinal.

Let’s go PACC and take one game at a time and make it happen this year.

Umpire Report
Excellent umpiring by Bavinder PAl (TGCC) and Jawad Afzal(PTCC). Specially Mr Jawad to step in the last moment for Ron Knight. We wish Ron a good luck and hope to see him back in the field next week.
