Report:
PACC's Bowling & Batting depth too much for RCC as they seal
the deal by 4 wickets After an heartbreaking loss in a thriller against HPCC,
PACC was back in action to show that heartbreaking losses can't hurt their
desire to win and they would stay the course. As agreed by both teams and
umpires game started around 10:00 AM to beat the heat in the afternoon. RCC won
the toss and elected to bat with openers Samay and ever hot batsman Satbir.
PACC's Captain kamaran surprised Samay with his in swing which sent him back to
pavilion for early drinks. Chirag joined Satbir but they had mix up which let to
sacrifice by Chirag to give up his wicket because Imran became adventurous for
that moment and forgot what Satbir was all about any how it was great throw by
newly welcomed player for PACC saqib. Satbir played his part and scored
brilliant 65. During the later stage Waseem took an acrobatic catch at deep long
on to get rid of Vinay. Satbir's 65, Mayer, P's 29 and Vinay's 20 were the only
highlights of RCC's inning as PACC's bowling depth did it's job to limit RCC to
195 for 7 wickets in 30 overs. PACC started its inning with new opening partner
for Waseem Mansoor. Mansoor looked in a hurry as he only faced 5 balls for his 4
runs before he was removed by Kayur, P in the second over. Waseem was joined by
Saqib who has replaced Aqeel(departure to Pakistan) on PACC's Roster. Both
players played some nice strokes.Saqib was given LBW and Jansher arrived at the
crease by then and he started where he left last week with another superb
performance of scoring fifty. Imran made his quick 11 Before he was caught by
the keeper. Murtaza who has become "kool" batsman for PACC and taken a
bonding role between top order and middle showed his patience at the wicket and
once again steered PACC along with Jani and Nasir towards victory. Nasir stole
the show at the end by making it rather easier for PACC than a close game by
hitting some line drive lasers of his own and in no time scored 36 before
transferring the job to Shami to put finishing touches on the victory. It was
waseem's birthday and this was the best birthday present team could give him as
he had " happy birthday". It was great game played by two top teams.
PACC appreciates Mr. Ron Knight and John Robertson for their continued
commitment to the game of cricket and great umpiring. MoM: Jani for his 55 and 2
wickets. Report: Bilal Aslam
