Report:
Nasir(56) and Maqbool (34*-3/21) are the Stars as PACC is
winning party in another nail biter against GRCC.
After several back and forth contacts of moving the game to Sunday due to twist
and turns of weather reports both teams decided to leave it on nature and have
the game on Saturday. It was cloudy Saturday morning as coin flipped against
PACC two weeks in a row. After wining the toss Grcc elected to field. PACC
opened its innings with Imran and Waseem while Grcc attacked with Sarkar and
Manesh. it was early trouble for PACC as Imran and waseem were having drinks
back in the pavilion while score was 13. It was going well between Bilal and
Shami when Shami ran out and Bilal gave easy grab to Vickey at 52. At this point
Murtaza and PACC's blazer man Nasir took the charge and scored a beautiful
partnership of 80 runs in just 8 overs with Nasir hitting those tower sixes Grcc
had no choice but to change bowling attack again and again. After Murtaza and
Nasir got out it marked the arrival of another trouble man for GRCC Maqbool Khan
and together with aqeel he managed to take th!
e score to 210 in 30 overs while scoring unbeaten 34*.
GRCC opened its inning with Amarnath and Vickey while required run rate was 7.
This caused departure of Vickey in the 2nd over with a beautiful catch by
Murtaza. Turning point of the game was in the 20th over when Mnasoor decided to
celebrate his birthday on the field and got two quick wickets of Shervin and
Milan at 149. It was all PACC until 29th over when Dhiran took shami over the
top 3 times and brought the game in hand with 15 to win in the last over but
Maqbool accepted the challenge and finished off GRCC with 1 ball to go. It was
an exciting game GRCC gave their full efforts but it was PACC's day as they win
three in a row.
