Report:
It was a very nice day out there at Hobson Ground in Greensboro.
Both the team and the Umpires from TCC were ready to toss, won by PACC and
without hesitation Captain Kaman chose to bat. Well PACC hoping to put a big
total to give CLCC tough ride to win. But guess what, Chetan and Siddharth bowl
so well that, PACC lost 4 quick wickets at the score of 44 in 12 overs. PACC
wanted a long partnership to get a fair score now. Mansoor and Jansher gave a
little hope for the 5th wicket partnership of 44 runs but couldn't handle Ashish
and Goal's pace and gave there wickets away. PACC crumbled up in no time at a
score of 137. Lions bowler bowled very well and equally supported by good
fielding. After a quick break CLCC opened up there innings, they were in no
hurry. We knew a win will get them to finish at the Top of the point table of
MACC. Both opener wanted to take there time to get settled. But PACC wanted to
have this win very bad to make it to the top 4 spot and they took 2 quick
wickets, both veterans Parimal and Ashish went back to the lions den. Kalpesh
went in to join Siddharth CLCC's Rock solid batsman. Very intelligent batting by
both of this lions and specially some mega power shots by Kalpesh brought CLCC
out of pressure of losing 2 quick wickets. kales got out at 35 and Siddharth got
injured at 20 had to retired hurt. We lost Ana's wicket soon. CLCC 89 for 4,
Saurabh was well set and to join him came the Captain Shashi hoping to end the
innings up without losing anymore wickets. Job well done by both of the lions
gave a easy win at the end of 25th over. Class batting by unbeaten Saurabh
scored 41 and Shashi not out 17. We like to thanks Umpires from TCC to do such a
wonderful umpiring and to PACC for being a good host. Congrats to Lions team for
winning regular season at #1 spot.
