Sweet-Tart Cottage

In 2004, I decided to do some painting and re-decorating. Some now call it the "Sweet-Tart Cottage". I like the cottage look and the feeling of serenity I get from being in my new home. Here is the result.

The Bedroom
I started with the bedroom using a victorian, cottage theme. I painted the room white with green trim.

Office
It's really supposed to be the dining room, but I use it as my computer area, so...it's my office. I painted the room white with purple (my favorite color) trim. I used a theme of Winnie-the-Pooh in both the office and the kitchen as they are open to each other. (See kitchen photos below.)

Kitchen
The kitchen was probably the biggest task of all. I hand painted the cabinet doors and drawers which took quite awhile. Done in purple and blue trim. Again, the theme was Winnie-the-Pooh (and Tigger too)!

Hallway & Bathroom
I actually enjoyed painting the hallway and bathroom. Done in powder-blue trim and I put on flower cabinet and drawer knobs. I put up a chenille patchwork shower curtain to cover up the glass shower door (which I hate). The bathroom is really tiny, but adding some extra items in decorating helped.

Living Room
The living room is my "wolf theme" room. I have a strong feeling for wolves and feel very connected to them. Therefore, I just had to do this theme. I have a wolf tapestry and many wolf prints to view. And, of course, there is Taz (my own little black wolf). He has his crate in the living room as well. He never uses it anymore. I basically keep it around because I have no where else to set the many plants! I used yellow trim in the living room. One of my favorite pieces of furniture is my mosiac pansy bistro table and chairs in the pic below.
