My Enchanted Cottage Garden

I love my garden, and being in sunny California, it makes for some great flowers. Each year seems to bring about a change in design and flowers. So far this year, I've only planted some crocus bulbs (which the squirrels have mostly taken away), some double freesia, peonies, echinacea magnus and some pansies. I'll hopefully have some new pics soon of this year's flowers, so come back soon!

The Patio
A very serene place to rest. The sun shines in the daytime and the candles glow at night.

A corner of the patio
I have since painted the cement blocks to use as plant holders.

Another corner of the patio
My ex-roommate painted the little bench with dog and cat prints. Very cute. I also love having ornamental figurines in the garden (note the rabbit and racoon).

Front Door
I found an old clothes drying rack (behind the chairs) and I'm using it to hold multiple windchimes.

The Fence
I use the fence to hang ornamental items and plants on.

The Shrubs
I have to prune the shrubs twice a year. A chore, but I'm highly allergic to the blooms that come out.

California Gold Hibiscus
One of my favorite plants. Unfortunately, I think the winter got to it this past year. But I'm told it will make a come back.

Ruby Limrock
One of my very favorite plants.
