The stresses of the magical essence also call into being, what is known as rogue gates(portals) and much of the Ranger work is involved in watching these rogue manifestations and dealing with what may come through from other realms, temporally aligned with Airs. Because of the danger of the rogue gates collapsing on unwary travelers across the land..there is an approximately ten mile boundary surrounding the only guesting facility in the Realm. None are allowed past the boundary without the specific permission of the Archetype Twyncles. They will be, if they stray..turned back by the vigilant warbands of Wemics, Centaurs,Rangers, and Northern Ride HorseClans folk. The inhabitants of (Larger)Airs are sentient animals and Magical Creatures, the only other permitted human/humanoid beings are the Northern Ride HorseClans,who took refuge on The Little Serpent Slide River from the genocidal decimation of their people and herds during an Orc Horde War in their previous homeland. The Archetype knowing them as ones who had never broken the contract with Great Mystery, had no reservation about allowing them refuge and sanctuary in Airs.
