About The Trip

_____The Program_____

The Japan Exchange is a Program where 15 Japanese students come from Hiraka to visit New York, and then come to Maine. When they are in Maine, they have a chance to go to our school, and stay with 8th grade students. The kids also have the chance to spend time with each of the other grades in various activites. Then, in May we send 15 of our 8th graders to Toyko for 2 days, where they can do a lot of shopping and even see Sumo Wrestling!! Then to Hiraka for 6 days, where they get a chance to live with a Japanese family, and see a lot of schools around the area. (more information on where they go is on the Activities page.)
