Thunder Deep Tissue/Swedish Bodyworks Session - Used primarily for the client who wants the deep penetrating relief for tense muscles with a deep warming affect. Special deep heat is used in conjunction with massage oil for maximum relief and reduction of muscle soreness. It focuses on the muscles relevant to every day life and activities. Deep Tissue, a generic term including a diversity of eclectic styles using fingers, knuckles, thumbs, and elbows in a slow, deep fashion to relieve muscle tension, facial constriction, and/or postural imbalances. Swedish slower strokes and more direct pressure or friction applied across the grain of the muscles. This invigorating experience is a process of detection of stiff or painful areas by determining the quality and texture of the deeper layers of musculature, and slowly working into the deep layers of muscle tissue.

For the athlete, it also includes pre-event, post-event and maintenance techniques that promote greater athletic endurance and performance, lessen chances of injury and reduce recovery time. Special deep heat is used and the focus is on releasing pain and spasms produced by muscle tension in a deeply therapeutic, yet sensitive manner. this session improves performance or prevents injury through application of pre-event or post-event massage. The Bodyworks Specialist has a mastery of muscles used in particular sports and knows how to best enhance their function and prevent injury.

If you wish to receive a full body session with concentrated work on specific areas, with your input, I can Custom Design a Bodyworks Session that is right for you!! You set the Atmosphere with a choice of warm Raspberry, Eucalyptus, Cocoa, Vanilla, or Cherry Almond Bodyworks Oils!!!! Deep Heat is also available!!! You can also combine them!! Using organically derived essential oils to help fortify the functions of the body’s organs, these special oils boost the efficiency of the immune system and increase nutrients and oxygen in the blood during the Bodyworks Session.
