White Magic
Jeannette K. Olson
The snow began in the evening, Scattered by an unseen Hand, Transforming familiar landmarks Into a winter wonderland.

The sun showne bright with the morning, The sky was of deepest blue, The snow was enchanting with fairies dancing, And it sparkled all the day through.

The garden fence was a latticework, The fence posts tipped high, white hats to me, The bushes bowed low under the snow, While lavish white fur decked Sir Pine Tree.

The sun sank in a rosy glow And the moon shone over the land. I thrilled to the sight far into the night, Enchanted by the unseen Hand.
