Setup
Before you get started you must have Windows Vista installed and running. It is possible to use voice commands in World of Warcraft with Windows XP, but it requires several more downloads and a lot of fuss to get it working. For Vista you will need to visit here and download the WSR Macro program. It's free and will allow you to use the files on this site.

Once you have WSR Macros installed, you need to have Voice recognition set up. You can do this by going to Control Panel, Ease of Access, and the Voice Recognition. You will be required to Set up your microphone as part of the set up wizard so be sure its plugged in.

Durring the installation of WSR Macros, a directory called Speech Macros was created in your Documents file. Any Macro files you want to use need to be in this folder otherwise they wont load. When you add a file you need to have it "signed". Right click on the blue speech bubble icon on the task bar near the clock and under security go through the process of creating a signing certificate. once its created, go to the same menu and select sign macros. then just select the file or files you need to sing and click open.

Each file from this site will come with a text file listing the voice commands and what they do. To start using Voice Recognition you must say "start listening", this is currently unchangable. You will hear a beep when it changed from sleeping to on (and the other way around. It might take a few tries to get it to work and training your computer for voice recognition is reccomended for all voice commands and dictation. To send it back into sleep mode tell it to "stop listening", you will hear a beep and the icon will turn from bright blue to a faded blue-gray.

In addition to a referance file included with each macro file gotten from here will come with a training file. All you will need to do is open the file, select the contents and say "train that". This will open a training wizard to train your computer on how you pronounce the file's content so it can understand you better. While this is a way to help clear up some mis-heard words, the best way to get around problem word is by either adding them to your speech dictionary (advanced content and not yet avaliable on this site) or by use. Windows Speech Recognition is a smart program and will learn your pronounciations and speech patterns over time, the more you use it the quicker it learns.
