First off, let me introduce myself. My name is Kelly, but most people call me K.P. and I am a 19 year old English major from Birmingham, Alabama. Don't know where that is, don't worry, you won’t ever need to. I love writing, and hope someday to be published, but until I finish my book, I fill my time with fanfics. I discovered fanfics about three years ago when my younger sister and I developed a love for Harry Potter and LOTR. We both have very active imaginations, and always wondered what it would be like to be in these stories we loved so much. Thus we created characters like us, and put them into the plot line. After a while of just writing stories for her, I started letting other people read them. Then started writing stories using just cannon characters.

The rest, as they say is history. Now with quite a library of stories under my belt ranging from fluff to slash and containing various plot lines, I felt it was time to try and get my stuff out there. I stumbled upon Sugarquill while looking for some good Ron/Hermione FanArt to use as my desktop wallpaper. I found a site called Art Dungeon and it had the most beautiful art I'd ever seen. I started following the links attached to some of the art, and was lead to sugarquill and the stories behind some of the art. From sugarquill, I got an urge to look for more sites, and found Checkmated. I am now a member of both sites, and hope to have my stories picked up by them soon.

Like I said this is just a place for me to test my stuff. It's nothing special, I promise you. If you like what you read, keep coming back...I have lots more where that came from.
