WELCOME TO MY WORLD

The old word for a writer was a “maker”. In a world with no ready-made entertainment, no films, no TV, and very few books, a writer was a highly valued person. They could weave words and spin visions, they could build castles in the air, they could tell tales of everyday life or of lands far away. They could instruct, inform and teach as well as entertain. Sometimes they would re-work old tales, sometimes they would invent new ones. Always, people would listen.

Our world has shrunk. The tales I tell are only to amuse myself, my family and friends. Please, feel free to share in them, and tell me if you have enjoyed them.
