Ancient Runes is an ancient German Language. It consists of 28 characters, while the English language consists of 26. This language cannot be spoken very well by many people, it is mostly used as scripts. Runes was originated in Germany. Muggles who have spotted stones imprinted with this language were confused and believed it was a language used in the old days by Vikings. They are still trying to decipher it. The people who created this language is unknown. The language was used for over 5000 years, starting in 1000 A.D. Wizards and witches who mastered it left notes in the sand or engraved in stones for meetings. This language was used to make the spells so the muggles could not read what they were writing. Not until the English language was known that they converted it.
