The Disney version of Alice would be the most popular, in truth, it is probably more well known than Carrolls original version. This one is interesting in that it is both "Alices Adventureres in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There". Walt Disney took characters from both books and put them together to make one movie. Personally, I did not enjoy this movie, but most people do. It has a very classic Disney touch, and is a family movie, definately. A lot of scenes from the original books are missing, as is common in remakes, but it is an interesting movie for big-time Alice fans, in the way that it merges the books together fairly well.

I would have to say that this is the darkest version of Alice that I have seen as of yet. Ameican Mcgees Alice in Wonderland is a video game based on the return of Alice to Wonderland. When Alice is called back to Wonderland she sees that everything has gone completely downhill. Wonderland has become a dark pit reeking of death and decay and the demented Queen of Hearts reign of terror has to be stopped, Alice is the one to do it. Go through such classic places as the mushroom forest, the pool of tears and the madhatters teaparty, all gone sickeningly wrong. This version is recommended for audiences ages 18 and up. It involves disturbing content, blood and gore, and excessive violence.

The Hanna Barbara version of Alice is one of the more original takes on the books, the name for it is actually What's a Nice Kid Like You, Doing in a Place Like This? Alice follows her dog, Fluff, into wonderland, they meet up with the cheshire cat, (with the voice talent of Sammy Davis Jr). The Mad Hatter, Hedda Hatter, and The Queen of Hearts, whose voice is done by Zsa Zsa Gabor. Also, there is an appearance of the caterpillar, but as a two headed version of Fred Flinstone and Barney Rubble!
