SAMUEL B. GRAY

Chesapeake: Samuel Brudd Gray, 70, of 4903 Charlton Drive, a native of
Portsmouth and the husband of Mrs. Hazel Margie Quesenberry Gray,
died Friday in a Portsmouth hospital.

He was a retired shipwright of Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Other survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Elsie Dick, Mrs. Elizabeth Jean
Gillis, and Mrs. Margie L. Crane of Chesapeake, Mrs. Lois M. Sheeler of
Portsmouth, and Dorothy Lynn Gray of Chesapeake; three sisters, Mrs.
Edna Britton and Miss Mattie Gray of Chesapeake; and Mrs Ethel Grime of
Roanoke; 13 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

A funeral will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in Sturtevent Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Ray O. Jones.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the home of Mrs. Gillis, 2405 Payne Road, Chesapeake.
