What is the event fee for Soaring Eagle Twilight Camp?

The 2003 camp event fee is $40 for each Cub Scout and Webelos Scout until May 9th and $50 thereafter.  The youth  fee includes all activities and program supplies, a patch and a 2003 Twilight Camp T-shirt.  There is no event fee for adults to attend with the Scouts.  However, for safety and identification concerns while within camp, each adult needs to wear a Scout uniform or a 2003 Twilight Camp T-shirt .

Shirts may be shared by adults who are serving as walk around leaders on alternating days, but wearing a Scout uniform or the 2003 Twilight Camp shirt is mandatory for each adult present at Soaring Eagle District's Twilight Camp.  Adult T-shirts are available for order at $7.00 each.  Special Adult Bonus:  Every adult who signs up for, and attends, all five days of camp will receive his or her T-shirt at no charge.

How many adults do the Scouts need to come along and share the fun at Twilight Camp?

Each pack is responsible for providing walk around leaders for their boys. Please ensure that enough adequate leadership is provided at the ratio of at least one leader for every five boys registered in each age group - and remember, a minimum of two registered leaders is required for any outing.

Register as a pack or an individual, however, each participant must complete a registration form.    Also, Immunization records are required - This is a requirement to operate the camp in compliance with applicable law.

What should we bring to camp?

Cubs and Leaders should bring to camp each day:

  • A sack lunch-with proper cold storage
  • Plenty of fluids, and
  • Tennis shoes and socks- NO SANDALS .
  • Camp T-shirts are the camp uniforms.
  • Leaders are encouraged to bring a wagon to carry around den equipment.
  • Leaders may also bring an ice chest to keep food and drinks cool; please label all belongings.
  • Your wagons may be stored in our lock-up area at night.

What about Den Chiefs? Can they help?

Of course! The criteria for Den Chiefs is that they must be First Class AND 14 years of age. Den Chiefs will be put with station leaders to assist in the program areas. They will be considered part of the staff and will receive a T-shirt if they work all week. Contact Ed Gibson at 421-7449 if you know of a Boy Scout who would like to help. If your Pack or Den has a Den Chief that does not meet the age/class requirements, he may work with your pack as a Den Aide at camp.

Will there be a Tot Lot?

Child care will be provided for children of FULL TIME volunteers only and that volunteer must be registered by the deadline. Children must be at least 2 years old and potty-trained. Children may not be older than 12 years of age. If a child in the day care center does not obey the rules set forth by the provider, the parent will be asked to take the child home. Other children not registered with camp should NOT be brought to camp.
