When I became pregnant with my 4th and last child I decided I wanted her nursery to be a one of a kind. With the other 3 Kids I had done the same as most other people, borders, matching bedding etc.. I wanted  to do something different. I had heard somewhere, that there was something called a "living" room . My husband and I chose a theme like all other parents do and started Construction! I took her theme (jungle baby's) and decided that it really could be a jungle in there!! The animals on her bedding gave me a great idea. I put my ideas on paper let my older children color it and that is how it all started. The Basics were the 1st step We painted the entire room sky blue. What's a jungle without grass ,trees monkeys ,bugs, lions , clouds , etc.. which was a bit more crafty. How in the world was I supposed to bring it to Life?? It wasn't as hard as one might think. I created a base line  to start working on the grass effects. I then created stencils of the animals & trees on her bedding so that the room would be identical to it. I stenciled them on the walls with a little help from friends and started painting. Bringing things out of the wall or picture was a little more difficult. I went to the local craft store And there they were little bugs!! Some pre painted some not ladybugs, bee hive dragonfly's, bumble bees, snails and even some birds. I bought them all! I also picked up two 6ft lengths of Ivy, and a cloud kit. Last but not least I needed lighting. I was looking for soft light that brought harmony to my theme so back to the drawing board I went. I looked everywhere and I couldn't find anything that fit so I created my own. I bought a swag kit to make a hanging light and found a blue and white marbled light cover, My husband hard wired them for me and hung it from the ceiling. I wrapped the 2 6ft lengths of Ivy around the gold chain swag protector. Put all my Bugs  and clouds on the wall , something was still missing !The animals were done the cloud colored light and ivy really brought it to life. I managed to find a monkey with Velcro hands & feet ,He now swings from the Ivy and is the center of his very own jungle and my daughters  room.
