New Tarot Page!

I am constantly inspired by the artwork on many Tarot decks. I am also impressed by the fact that the artists create 78 different cards that are able to reflect esoteric meanings. I have added a new Tarot Page to this site where I will be featuring decks that I feel are creative and artisitic. I have currently featured The Cosmic Tarot. The artwork was done by German artist Norbert Losche who is currently working on a new deck. I have also made a few great decks available for purchase. So check out the Page!

Portland was beautiful today. The sun was shining and everything looks good. Don't think I'll put anything in here until I have something really good to tell you about.

Well that was all fun! The wedding was really fun and..sniff..she was beautiful. And the moving is done...whew...don't want to do that ever again. Love living downtown. Now I have to figure out where I will paint. Does anybody really read these things?

So for Halloween this year I get to be "mother-of-the-bride"! My daughter is getting married on Nov. 1st so I will be in Arizona for Halloween. I've never been in Arizona for Halloween and wonder if spooks are different in the desert. I might see more bats though!
When I get back our moving to the city should be about done and I can get back to painting again. It will be after Halloween but I am anxious to paint Reggies skulls and things on her desk.

Bats!
I want to paint bats! I have found alot of sites with great pictures of bats. There are also several organizations dedicated to rescuing the misunderstood and useful bat. BatWorld is my favorite. If anyone is interested I will do a pattern and instructions of bat all folded up hanging upside-down.

I was wanting to see some vintage Halloween art to inspire me to paint something for my favorite time of year, and found a great site. CardVelocity.Com is not one of those e-card senders, but actually sends a real card in the mail! But you set it up right from your computer. The postage is included, so no trip for a stamp. They have a great selection of cards, so no insane searching at a crowded store. But your recipient ends up with a tangible greeting card. All that for only $3.50. Needless to say I was impressed, plus I got some great inspiration for vintage Halloween art. Somewhere along the way I found this "bat-riding, pumpkin-wearing" cat.

Looks like I am going to get on the Blog bandwagon. We'll see how successful this is.
All I can say so far is that I am glad it is almost Halloween, and fall, and cooler. I really want to paint some unique Halloween things this year and thanks to Reggie I have a great project to work on. Skulls, bones, a flying witch, and flames will all be painted on the wonderfully unusual desk we found awhile back. Picutures will definately be in the Gallery. When I'm done. I'll let you know.
I now have a new Pagan's Herb of the Month page. This month's herb is The Magical Onion. Check it out and subscribe while you're at it so you won't miss a month. More later! (I guess that is the idea behind this!)
