The Pomeranian

• Description: One of the most popular of the Toy breeds, the Pomeranian enjoys human or canine companionship. They adore being pampered, petted and love to be active and playful. Affectionate and faithful, this little dog makes an excellent companion.
• Height: 8 - 11 inches
• Weight: 2.5 - 7 lbs.
• Colors: All colors, but free from black or white shadings; whole colors are white, black, brown, light or dark blue

The Pomeranian is a little spark plug. He's lively, bold and inquisitive, too. This makes him an excellent and fearless watchdog despite his tiny size. He's smart and will respond well to consistent training. Poms are sometimes suspicious of strangers and other animals. The Pomeranian is a member of the Toy Group and was first recognized by the AKC in 1888.
