Magic Nation
What is Magic Nation?
Magic Nation is a web based, non-profit organization created for the purpose of bringing together Magic: The Gathering players from all over the world. In recent years, we have seen a decline in the open majority of Magic: The Gathering's popularity in the face of a new generation. As one of the first collectable trading card games, Magic: the gathering is a kind of milestone to the community of gamers and an important part of gaming history that we don't want to see become just another game that sits on shelves or that is lost to the newer generation of gamers.
Magic Nation functions on a prestige system as well, establishing guilds all over the world. Within each guild are ranks and players as they face opponents from other guilds or within thier own guilds will rise through the ranks to become world-wide grandmasters.
We also want to compile a data base for players, keeping track of wins/losses/ties and guild hall locations so that if players of the game move, they'll know where to go to find some decent magic action. This will help players be able to keep to the game.
